What Coverage Is THere?
A lot of people think hearing aids will drain their wallets. The truth is, many people in the GTA already qualify for funding and just don’t realize it.
With our hearing clinic being in Vaughan, we deal with these programs all the time, so we know how to guide you to make it easy.
Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
Hearing aids may be covered for you, your spouse, or your children up to age 17. We start with a hearing test, and if hearing loss is found, we send the recommendation to your caseworker. ODSP coverage can include the hearing aids, fittings, batteries, and repairs through ADP.
Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC)
If your hearing loss connects back to your time in service, VAC can cover hearing treatment like hearing aids, professional fittings, follow-up care, maintenance supplies, and repairs or replacements.
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)
If work-related noise caused your hearing loss, WSIB may cover hearing aids every five years, along with repairs, batteries, and hearing assistive technology.
Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP)
Refugees may qualify for hearing aid coverage when it isn’t already covered by another public or private plan. We help navigate what’s possible.
Non-Insured Health Benefits program (NIHB)
NIHB supports hearing assessments and hearing aids from an approved product list, and we’re familiar with how that process works.
